Deleted all my Google Mail Contacts!!!

I was frustrated that Mavericks Contacts “Look For Duplicates” wasn’t linking all my iCloud and Google Mail contacts. Maybe it’s not supposed to do that, but it sure would be nice.

So I bought “Contacts Cleaner" thinking it would solve the problem. For about 30 minutes, I thought it had solved my problem since it removed about 500 “redundant” contacts. But then I realized that instead of merging/linking my iCloud and Google mail contacts, it deleted my Google Mail contacts.

This is SO frustrating. Of course I made a backup, but it will probably take me several more hours to restore everything the way it’s supposed to be.

Apple and Google, please work together to fix this problem that has existed ever since address books were invented.
