Makes inappropriate decisions
On first run, I reviewed the kinds of changes this program would make and was appalled at the poor decisions it seems to make.
Although I have address book preferences set to a phone format in the form of +1-###-###-####, Contacts cleaner want to strip out the +1 making my contact list useless when travelling overseas or for use with some international VOIP services.
My reason for buying was to find an strip out block formatted addresses, those with the Street City, Prov, Postal Code in one field. Im not sure where these came from but the preferred format is to have each itam in its own field with no commas. Commas are murder if you need to export of a comma delimited text file to use contacts in a database. Contacts clearner seems to want to strip out the properly formatted address as the duplicate and keep the improperly formatted address with the troublesome commas.
Please be careful not to just let this moronic program do its thing.
